Sustainable Tourism

Sustainable tourism is a kind of approach to tourism meant to make the development of tourism ecologically supportable in the long term. There are some principles of sustainable tourism, like 

         

1. Environmental Sustainability
2. Social Sustainability
3. Cultural Sustainability
4. Economical Sustainability      

            Bangladesh tourism sector has huge potentials. Experts are unanimous that Bangladesh has great potentials for the development of tourism in general and eco tourism in particular. For this, the country needs to develop the overall infrastructure, arrange necessary facilities, develop the image of Bangladesh as a destination country, formulate right kind of government policy- supports, undertake creative promotional programs, ensure necessary security measures for tourist movements, etc. 

                     Recently, we gave a report on the basis of our fieldwork which had been happened in the Saint Martin Island.
