Some historical places of Chittagong (Part - 1)




  • Chittagong War Cemetery : The Chittagong Commonwealth War Cemetery or Chittagong War Cemetery is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Chittagong, Bangladesh which was created in World War II  (1939-1945) to honor the Commonwealth soldiers and others who died in the war. The war cemetery was established by British Army where 715 were buried.

  • ZIA MEMORIAL MUSEUM Zia Memorial Museum was established to keep the memory and contributions of him to Bangladesh alive. It is one of the most significant architectural piece of history of Bangladesh.

  • Pritilata Square : Pritilata Waddedar was a Bengali revolutionary nationalist from the Indian subcontinent who was influential in the Indian independence movement. A historical place had been made to the honor of her patriotism

  • Chittagong Zoo : Chittagong Zoo is a zoo which is in Chittagong, Bangladesh that located about three kilometers north-west of the chittagong city, which is alongside at the entrance of the Foy's Lake, opposite the foothills of the mountains of the USTC Medical College.

  • City Entrance Gate of ChittagongCity Gate, Chittagong is a gate which is located in Chittagong that means the symbol of City area and which helps to  welcome every visitor to the city.

  • Chandanpura Mosque : The Chandanpura mosque is a mosque which is located in the Nabab Siraj ud-Daulah road which is known as the old part of the chittagong, Bangladesh. It is also known as a Masjid-e-Siraj ud-Daulah  It is one of the most famous landmarks in Chittagong and a well known tourist attraction for its impressive architecture consisting of multiple domes and minarets painted in bright colors.

  • Central Shaheed Minar : It was established in February 20, 1962 which is situated in 32, KC Dey Rd, Chittagong 4000.

  • Tiger pass Statue : It is a statue which is truly well known statue. It is an evergreen road which is surrounded by mountains and trees. In the past, Tigers were spotted in the at this location. For this reason the road was named on the tiger name which is called tiger pass road.
